1. Description
==============

XML::STX is a pure Perl implementation of STX processor. Streaming 
Transformations for XML (STX) is a one-pass transformation language for 
XML documents that builds on the Simple API for XML (SAX). See 
http://stx.sourceforge.net/ for more details.

3. Prerequisites
================

- XML::SAX
- XML::NamespaceSupport
- Clone


4. Build and Install
====================

The module builds and installs in a standard way:

	perl Makefile.PL
	make
	make test
	make install

To install on Windows (with ActivePerl), just replace "make" with "nmake".


5. Utilities
============

stxcmd.pl
---------
	command line interface to XML::STX

	USAGE:
	  stxcmd.pl [OPTIONS] <transform> <data> [PARAMS]

	OPTIONS:
          -m : measures and displays duration of transformation
          -h : displays this help info
          -v : displays versions of XML::STX and parser/writer to be used
 
	PARAMS:
          name=value pairs separated by a space
 
	EXAMPLE:
          stxcmd.pl -m stylesheet.stx data.xml p1=5 p2=yes

stxview.pl
----------
	GUI (Gtk+) viewer of STX transformation sheets
	
	USAGE: 
	  stxview.pl
