Submitting Patches

Here are the basic instructions; get yourself a copy of git (see
http://git.or.cz; debian/ubuntu users, the package is 'git-core')

  # fetch it
  git-clone git://utsl.gen.nz/IO-Plumbing
  cd IO-Plumbing
  
  # add the test and check that it works
  vi t/002-newtest.t
  perl -Mlib=lib t/002-newtest.t
  
  # commit it to your git
  git-add t/002-newtest.t
  git-commit -m "Add a (failing) test for blah blah blah..."
  
  # configure git-send-email if required
  git-config sendemail.smtpserver mail.yourhost.com
  git-config sendemail.to samv@cpan.org
  
  # send the patch.
  git-send-email `git-format-patch origin/master`

If the git:// URL doesn't work, try

  git-clone http://git.utsl.gen.nz/IO-Plumbing

Submitting Bug Reports

Please get a copy of cil, and submit the issue as a patch;

  cil add
  git add issues
  git-commit -m "Add my issue"

  # as above - configure git-send-email
  git-config sendemail.smtpserver mail.yourhost.com
  git-config sendemail.to samv@cpan.org

  # and send the patch
  git-send-email `git-format-patch origin/master`
