*   make good test cases for test.pl on users networks.

*   Make sure to get hostname lookups in soon.

*   Use requires instead of "use" to help with memory footprint.

*   Run podchecker every now and then.

*   Add more info into the Host objects.  An example from pkent (email
    withheld until he releases it):

	the host has one interface
	which is Ethernet, and has MAC address 1:2:3:4...
	and on that interface...
	it understands IP
	its IP address is 10.1.1.10
	its reverse DNS lookup yields wibble.london.foo...
	it talks TCP
	it listens on these ports: 1, 13, 25, 80
	it talks UDP
	ditto for UDP ports
	SNMP is disabled
	it understands NETBIOS
	its Netbios name is \\LONDON\WIBBLE

*   Find a better method for finding a unique ID for a host.  Currently
    it is IPADDR+MACADD or just IPADDR if we can't find the MAC.  Two
    networks with the same address scheme will over write each other.

*   Keep a history of the network state.  Add ability to warn of hosts
    that have been added or removed from the network.  Warn about new
    routes within our network.  Warn of extreme conditions (latency,
    bandwidth).

*   Perhaps integreate with Mon (http://www.kernel.org/software/mon/).

*   Make a network protocol for this set of modules so that we can make
    agents that sit on remote boxes.  These agents would pass data back
    to our main instance to build a better description of the network. 
    This allows us to find MAC addresses on remote networks, find NAT 
    situations, discover firewall rules, and more.  The protocol would
    idealy run encrypted so our network info isn't being sniffed by the
    bad guys. It would also be nice if we could trigger Detection events
    from the main instance.

*   Add more Detection modules:
	host/port scanner
	BroadcastPing
	SNMP
	BGP
	RIP
	OSPF
	CDP

*   Add a GUI interface.  I have poked around with Tk, but I need some
    input from others, as I am not a GUI guy.  Perhaps a web front end
    instead or also?  In the gui, I'd like to be able:
    *	to see the network in real-time as we discover it
    *	zoom out to see just networks, and zoom in to see a single network
    *	change host info by clicking on the host
    *	see latency from host to host
    *	see bandwidth usage across routers if we cna get the data
    *	do other things that I haven't thought of

*   Add ACLs so that we don't monitor OPN (other people's networks).
